1890's ink bottles,sea glass colored |
(out of focus:<):my Flea Find! |
I had lots of fun at the Kane County Flea Market on Saturday.....some things I bought included artist's bags of lace, and postage stamps,Bingo pieces and other doodads. I added to my growing collection of sea glass colored old ink wells...BUT,my BIG find was these pocket watch faces!!!Whoo-hooo!the guy really cut me a deal, throwing in 10 free ones! So many of my art journal friends will be getting one on their journal pages! Many of these come from Elgin,Illinois, where I grew up,so that's kind of cool...most are porceline.I was thrilled with this find!
hello Sue,
ReplyDeletewow, what a great finds ! It's been a long time since I found such treasures on a fleamarket :(
Maybe I should come over to a fleamarket at yours ! :)
I have a lot of different inkbottles too , but not such one like yours. I have them displayed in my creative room as a fun decorative item to watch and enjoy.
The pocket watch faces are real treasures. I think it will be hard to use them !
greetings from belgium
Inge
Hi Inge....noit won'tbe hard to use them, because I got so many, enough for the rest of my life,I think!
ReplyDeleteWhat color are your inkbottles?
Sue
WOW you sure hit paydirt! Great find! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of all the watch faces you got. So cool to make them the backing of collaged jewelry.
