Egypt and Peru

These are some pages I did for two of my friends in the Joourney of Dreams round robin.The idea is that these are pages in travel sketch books.
 I took Sox's vintage traveler to Egypt:

 ...and Pat to Peru,paying particular attention to things beginning with the letter P,as requested.

Wanna Play???

I've been meaning to post a few photos from a wonderful book that I found this summer at a garage sale.It's called The Games We Played. It is chock full of  hundreds of beautiful photos of vintage games. The colors are really astonishing! (Sorry for the glare on some of the photos)I plan on using many of the graphics for art journals. Here are some of my favorites:

Flea Goodies

At the Kane County Flea Market last weekend,I did find a few goodies:

 Fabulous,CHEAP rings from Mexico...at home,I cut off the ring bands and voilà!Great embellishments for collages,journals,mosaics.....

 More art fodder: unusual sea urchin spines,porcupine quills,sea glass beads,skull beads,pirate buttons...

 A bizarre little...um....not so sure what it was.....but to me it is perfect as a bat-wing candle holder for my Halloween Apothecary!

A very cool old cupcake tin tht I have more Halloween plans for...and a great old folding ruler to use in journals as well.....

It really is true what they say:"One woman's junk is another woman's treasure!!!"LOL
